Reads the public record.
Headline metadata comes from the GDELT Project's global news index. RaccoonFeed receives the headline, publisher domain, the time GDELT recorded it and the original link — never the article body or publisher photographs.
World news and event intelligence for Windows.
Current reporting, grouped into events you can follow — with the publisher, the timestamp and the original link attached to every claim.

RaccoonFeed reads public headline metadata, groups reports that describe the same real-world development, and shows you the evidence behind each group instead of a rewritten summary.

Reports are clustered locally using their titles, publishers and timestamps. Identical syndicated copies are counted once, so the source count is not inflated.
Every event carries its lead report, related coverage and a chronology built from the reports' own timestamps. If sources disagree, their separate headlines remain separate rows.
A desktop dashboard built for reading, not for scrolling forever.
All, World, Politics, Economy, Technology, Sports and Crypto, with full-text search across the current feed.
Lead report, related coverage, source-ordered chronology, publisher attribution and the original link for every report.
Appears only when at least three distinct publishers are covering the event within a six-hour window. It is evidence of activity, not an editorial judgement.
Follow an event, keyword, country, company or topic. Alerts are generated on your device from the next refresh; there is no push service and no account.
Maps only the location GDELT's own event record codes to the reporting article. A country named in a headline is never used. The optional USGS earthquake layer uses the agency's supplied coordinates.
A compact floating ticker with the latest headlines. It rotates at most once every twelve seconds, pauses while the pointer is over it, and opens the full dossier when you choose a headline.
LIVE, PARTIAL, OFFLINE and REFRESHING describe what the sources actually returned. Cached coverage stays readable and is labelled as cached.
One control in the status bar removes the news cache, follows and alerts and clears the visible feed. Display preferences are kept.
RaccoonFeed is an information reader, not a news publisher. These limits are part of the product, not a disclaimer bolted on afterwards.
RaccoonFeed stores its cache, follows, alerts and preferences in your Windows user profile and sends nothing to Lazy Raccoon Lab. The privacy policy states exactly what is written to disk and which public services the app contacts.
