A message feels wrong. Before you trust it, see what it’s asking you to believe.
VERDICT checks suspicious text with fixed rules and shows the evidence behind the result.

Text messages, email bodies, listings or call transcripts: start with the words you want to examine. VERDICT also accepts .eml files and screenshots with a supported local OCR engine.

Fixed rules look for patterns such as payment pressure, credential requests and impersonation cues.
A receipt records the result, matched rules and cited fragments, with hashes for checking integrity.

The rules found warning signals. This is a reason to pause and verify independently, not proof of fraud.

A score alone is not much help. VERDICT connects its result to the words and rules that produced it, so you have something specific to question.
The fixed rules determine the verdict. An optional language-model layer can add advisory proposals; it cannot change the rule-determined result.
Default rules-only checking runs on your computer. A cloud model receives message text only if you configure it. Optional feed updates make network requests.
Receipts stored on disk contain cited fragments and may include a sender address. Share them carefully; deleting a local receipt does not revoke copies already shared.
The current pattern pack focuses on English and Dutch. New wording, other languages and OCR errors can change or undermine a result. “Likely safe” means no risk signals were found by the rules, not a guarantee of safety.
VERDICT does not analyse malware, open email attachments, or establish that a sender is genuine. Verify important requests through a contact channel you already trust.
